Our happy 876 family is to be cleaved in twain. Tony and Katherine are starting a new life together, in a new home, four blocks down the street. They got themselves one of those 'split level lofts' with 'burnt orange' walls and hopefully a 'small' dog. Bad news for Neil and I, but very good news for Mission District tenement seekers. Their room is available for rent beginning July 1st!
If you haven't made it over to our house for a feast I will describe it to you:
We live in a 3BR flat on the second floor of a newly remodled house in the clean, quiet, eastern part of the Mission. The interior was completely rennovated right before we moved in a couple years ago. It's roomy, with a large den with giant bay windows in the front, a large dining room, new kitchen, and a split bathroom. Pretty hardwood floors everywhere but the bedroom, bathrooms, and kitches (bedrooms have comfy carpet). It is very well lit, and everything is clean and new. I consider it perhaps the nicest house I may ever live in.

The Room:
We are splitting the rent evenly, $915 per month plus PG&E and cable internet. The room for rent has a closet and a window and is 9 1/2' by 12 1/2'.

The apartment is at Hampshire and 21st St in the eastern Mission. It is a 15 minute walk to the 24th st BART or a 10-15 minute bike ride to the Mission, Castro, Haight, SOMA, or Downtown. We are near a number of buses. Street parking works well when you get a parking sticker; Tony usually parked less than 3 blocks from the house. The immediate area has some nice cafes, restaraunts, brunch spots and bars.
The Household:
Tony, Zack and Neil, three friends from the Midwest, moved here in 2006. Katherine moved in with Tony a year later and we became quite a happy little household. We have gotten along great, kept things clean, and had a lot of fun. We hang out together a lot in and out of the apartment and have dinner parties. Besides general good-naturedness, cleanliness and useful powers, we are looking to find someone who wants to join the family.
Zack's started a few companies (two tech companies, 1 bike), is an excellent consumer, good bathroom cleaner, superb music sharer, and a lousy meal cooker:

Neil is from Iowa and cooks like a vegan food like a champ.

Indeed.
Regarding Zack, I can testify to the man's good taste in music and generosity.
